Bellingham is located 88 miles north of Seattle, 23 minutes south of the Canadian border (Blaine) and 60 miles south of Vancouver, B.C. The beauty of the scenery has been preserved in wonderful city parks and trails. Many historic buildings remain, and some, like the Mount Baker Theatre, have been carefully restored. Western Washington University contributes strongly to the town's colorfulness and intellectual life.
